Patch Notes

Ledgerbound’s first week on Steam now has three numbered hotfixes, not a rumor mill. Patch #1 — Launch Hotfix landed August 13–14, 2026. Patch #2 — Time Toggle Hotfix landed August 15–16. Patch #3 — Chat Log & Bug Fixes landed August 18. This page quotes player-facing Steam news so you can tell a live depot from a Discord guess. Pair it with Release Update for the calendar, Display & Settings for where the new toggles live, Battle Maps for named boards, and Saves if your complaint is the autosave rather than the patch number.

We still will not invent BuildIDs. Confirm the client against Steam news for app 3315060.

Patch #1 — Launch Hotfix (August 14)

Battle sanitation:

  • Certain battles could freeze after a victory — fixed.
  • Movement bug on the bottom half of Emberworks — fixed.
  • Landfill fight with wounded casters (Flaming Out): reload and rethink blocked — fixed.
  • Trouble after Consume Rift in Elderhold — fixed.

Audio and VO:

  • Elderstone music updated (studio joke: 36% more stone).
  • Ability sounds that sometimes failed to play should now fire.
  • Prologue VO timing improved so interruptions sync better.

Sanitation note: if issues persist and the save misbehaves after updating, use Reset Battle from title-screen settings. Patch 1 also listed known issues that were not fixed that day: no windowed / super-ultrawide, no dismiss summons, auto-saver crash loops, Uninsured too difficult, missing chat log, and a player report that the Regulators fight was more winnable than marketing implied.

Patch #2 — Time Toggle Hotfix (August 16)

This is the quality-of-life depot launch recaps are talking about:

  • Time Management setting that dramatically reduces burnout and rest costs, plus UI to match. Full guide: Time and Burnout.
  • Windowed mode and additional resolutions for non-standard displays. Map: Display & Settings.
  • Dismiss summons button. Combat: Summons.
  • Continued VO timing work so jokes land.
  • Collector’s Estate resterlude could end after talking to Joy (and increase joy) — fixed.
  • Missing icon for the Perseverance lanyard — fixed.
  • Uninsured difficulty removed to streamline modes. Difficulty.
  • Placeholder Hat Rack conversation removed from Super Trio Super Sucks resterlude; further updates pending. Hat Rack.
  • Some typos fixed; many remain.

PCGamesN’s August 16 recap matches the studio list: reduced burnout and rest costs, windowed mode, dismiss summons, VO timing.

Patch #3 — Chat Log & Bug Fixes (August 18)

Steam news dated August 18, 2026 is the depot that closed Patch 1’s “lack of chat log” ticket and several launch-week freezes. Quote the player-facing list; do not invent BuildIDs.

Shipped:

  • Chat log. Scribes must write extremely quickly. This is a reread tool, not a story undo. Saves still files the click.
  • Time-management toggle now also removes burnout costs for equipping swag and liabilities. Patch 2 eased resterlude taxes; Patch 3 extends that mercy to the loadout bar. Time and Burnout and Liabilities.
  • Portraits in the credits. Do not abuse this information, the studio wrote.
  • Marked locations / target areas are brighter; unmarked tiles dimmer. Combat: Certificates and Battle Maps.
  • Abilities on the battle radial are purple. The old color was bad.
  • Enemy pathfinding freeze-then-crash — fixed. Enemies were given maps.
  • Potential fix for a soft lock during Jazz’s chat in the Collector’s dungeon.
  • Elderhold enemies mimicking Light — fixed. Heavy remains unmimicable.
  • Loading into battles you were not supposed to be in, including the final boss too early — mitigated.
  • Rethink Turn not interactable when it should have been — fixed.
  • Celestrine’s Crown missing after the Collector’s last laugh — fixed.
  • Radial abilities clogging the character info panel — fixed; remaining panel greed is still a known issue.
  • More typos. Interns retain purpose.

Still open after Patch 3 (Shareholders’ “reduced fun” policy):

  • Duplicate swag from the ticket exchange does not appear in inventory.
  • Lunar Rifts not selectable during battle setup.
  • Double Homicide third star (protect four Onx) bugged; description confusing.
  • No quit to main menu.
  • Character info panel still a greedy screen hog.
  • Newspaper font too small; delivery crow still the perfect size.
  • Beating the game shows a title screen with no buttons.

What the “too spicy” delay actually was

Not a content cut. Steam’s mature-content pipeline asks reviewers to watch spicy scenes in context. Ledgerbound shipped with full voice, HR romance, crude language, alcohol and drug references, and suicide mentions. The studio submitted early and still missed August 11. The depot opened on the 13th.

Do not expect a censored SKU. If Shareholder scenes or autosave are a buy-breaker, read Critic Reviews before a long Saturday. The 10% intro offer ends August 20.

How to file a useful bug

Give OmniMegaSuperCorp:

  • Steam BuildID.
  • Windows or macOS, and whether you used an Xbox-layout pad.
  • Last story beat or map name — Emberworks, Landfill, Collector’s Estate — not “late game.”
  • Whether you already verified files and tried Reset Battle.

Post in Steam discussions or Discord. Do not paste save folders into random servers.

  • Launch Day — first-session habits after the 13th.
  • FAQ — short answers including the new toggles.
  • Official Links — site, Discord, socials.
  • Steam Deck — not Verified; action-wheel notes.
